Residence
This villa is situated on a large plot covered in acorn trees,
over looking the impressive La Zagaleta Golf Course. The area
of La Zagaleta allows for large plots with low density living
creating an opportunity to create a property that is truly
‘green’ in its context and sustainable in its
surroundings. The design was presented for a family with a
clear design philosophy, one of true forms and little clutter
– the design is in the details and the lack there of.
We approached the design with an in-depth site analysis and
survey, thus the backbone of the design had strong roots to
the environment from the outset. We then combined this information
with a strong sense of geometry, proportion and natural materials
to create a large and at the same time inconspicuous home.
The whole design developed on a 60x60 horizontal and a 30x60
vertical grid, which then rolled out over the plot which has
a 25m fall to create a property that is lived on 5 levels. |
