This villa is situated on a very steep site that is flanked
on three sides, by a river, a road and the neighboring property.
With a very limited space and poor orientation we have designed
a contemporary Andalucian villa for a family that has a daughter
who is wheel chair bound. This villa allows for ease of movement
and open circulation whilst being arranged over two floors.
The ground floor access and circulations allows a person in
a wheel chair to move with ease both inside and outside. With
clever attention to door swings, passage widths and ramps
one can move throughout with ease. Access is gained from two
points integrating the parking and vehicular drop-off point
as a clear element of every day living. The property wraps
around the out-door terrace and pool area in an ‘L’
shape allowing all the internal living space to open out on
to the terrace area or individual private balconies. |
