Set high above the tree line, with view out over the sea,
this penthouse apartment has a charm and character of its
own. With out trying to break this and at the same time trying
to lift it to a different level of living we approached the
client’s requests with an open mind. Ultimately we choose
to switch the current private and public areas on the existing
two levels making the main public/ entertaining area interact
with the views on the top floor whilst the bedrooms were place
on the bottom floor in a more intimate and private setting.
This
meant the main entrance had to be a feature that pulled you
up into the living and kitchen. This property is meant for
free, easy living but yet it had to feel like at home without
being like a beach house.
